Why do in need so high a grade in the OET?
Following the consultations started in 2003, it was decided that 7.0 in IELTS is the minimum mark that verifies an acceptable language level to pursue as a registered general nurse. A level B in the OET exam is the equivalent to a 7.0 in the IELTS exam.
I obtained a C+ in one of the OET for nurses’ elements. Can I still apply?
No. Each score must be at least a B. You can, however, combine 2 different test scores. You will need to have repeated the exam within 6 months, and achieved a level B in every element across the two sittings and not scored below a C+ in any element.
I passed the OET for nurses’ test 3 years ago and I have the note required by the MNC. Will my registration certificate be accepted?
OET results are only valid for 2 years, so you’ll need to retake your examination.
