About Gate (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination held on behalf of the National Coordination Board GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and Government of India by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).
It is an entrance exam for students who aim for higher studies in India’s premier institutes. GATE scores are used for gaining admission in IIT, IISc, or getting a job in PSUs as well. These scores are valid for 2 years.
