CTET EXAM and SCOPE
CTET Exam is conducted separately for Paper 1 (Assistant Primary Teachers) and paper 2 (Trained Graduate Teachers). It is essential qualification for PRT and TGT posts notified by DSSSB, KVS, NVS and other private organizations.

Recommended Educational Qualification for Classes I-V
- Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with obtaining a minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
- Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with securing minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration), according to the NCTE Regulations 2002. Or,
- Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring a minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor of Elementary Education (4 years duration). Or,
- Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring a minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Education (2 years duration). Or,
- Who have a Bachelor’s degree and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration).
Following categories of aspirants are permitted to apply for Elementary stage teacher:
Recommended Educational Qualification for Classes VI-VIII
- Who have Graduation degree and passed or appearing in final year examination of Diploma in Elementary Education (2 years duration). Or,
- Who have completed their Graduation degree with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education. Or,
- Who have completed their Graduation degree with 40% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of Bachelor in Education, according to NCTE regulations.
- Group of candidates Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent test with acquiring a minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of 4 years duration Bachelor of Elementary Education.
- Who have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam with 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed. Or,
- Candidates having Graduation degree with securing 50% marks and cleared or appearing in B.Ed program of 1-year duration.
