The Story of Chandigarh Academy™

The road to success is full of obstacles, uncertainties, and failures. We too have been through these stages to reach where we are today.

2010

Surjeet Thakur sets up Chandigarh Academy
After quitting his regular job in 2009, Surjeet Thakur began working on his dream institution where quality coaching would be provided for multiple exams at a nominal fee. Fast forward one year, Chandigarh Academy was up and running!

2012

More exams were added to the list
Initially, coaching was provided only for a few government exams. However, 2 years later, classes for more government exams was introduced. We added more teachers to our faculty to take care of the increasing number of additions.

2014

Classes for Defence exam preparations were launched
Because of the increasing demand of coaching for defence exams, we introduced new batches for all major defence examinations. We expanded our institute on the same floor to accommodate more batches.

2017

Tie ups with notable schools and colleges
In 2017, we inked many agreements and tie-ups with notable schools and colleges around. Here, we carried out counselling sessions and guided students to the right professions, according to their interests and passion.

2019

We started live online classes
Much before the outbreak of COVID-19, we were conducting live online classes, especially for those students who lived in far-away cities. Through these classes, our trainers went live through video calls and taught students the same way they would learn in a classroom.

2021

Chandigarh Academy Family grew to 50,000+ members
Our Alumni grew to a whopping 50,000+ students. This was indeed a very special moment for the institute and its trainers who had worked tirelessly amid multiple lockdowns. A small party was thrown to mark this achievement, with many alumni joining it through video calls!
